wheels

dude its all a matter of who you talk to. i put a carli suspension system on my 04 and 35s with 5.25" backspace. i get a little rub here and there from behind the tire on the inner fender liner and thats it. nothing that slows me down or may cause damage. pics in gallery. hope this helps.

The stock wheels are around 6.2" backspacing with 42mm + offset. Not a lot of options out there that are close to stock, but some. With the 4.5"-5" backspace wheels they will stick out quite a bit and if oversized will probably rub without a lift kit.

295s should not be a problem with leveling kit. Just depends on how far you want them to stick out.

If it has less backspacing than stock say stock is 6.2 and I go to a wheel with 4.5 is that further in or further out of the fenders? Im looking at this wheel setup http://www.4wheelparts.com/wtProdDet...=ARE1091-78582

Further out. On a 9" rim don't go any less than 5.5" backspacing with closer to 6" being ideal. A 9" wide wheel with 5.5" backspacing will stick out roughly 1-1/2" past the fender. That wheel will stick out at 2"+.

They do make that wheel in 18" with 5.25 backspacing, so if I got that and 2" back spacing would that work on this truck?

What's the width of that wheel? And what size tire do you plan on running? Are you putting these on a stock truck or is it lifted?

Not sure what you mean here.

I meant 2" leveling kit and run at that height with a 33" tire (not sure on width of tire or wheel yet) I need something with at least a 5.2 inch backspace. Does the offset matter?

Offset is dependant on backspace and vice versa. They just give a different measurement.

If you are shopping 9" wide wheels (avoid 10" wide like the plague unless you're going big lift), what you want to look for is as close to 6" backspacing or +25mm offset as possible. My wheels are 17x9, 5.71" backspacing and +18mm offset. With my 325/70-17 tires they stick out 1" past the fender and with my 2" lift I have zero rubbing. Less backspacing pushes the wheel/tire out.

I think those will work. You may get a little rubbing on the plastic inner fender at the rear of the wheel well. With that combo its going to be close.

If Im not mistaken these tires are a hair shorter than a 295/70/17, so Im assuming the width would be the cause of the rubbing??

Looking to buy this weekend if I can find wheels I like

Sorry mbrcoupe, I saw 325 and immediately thought 35" tire. You're right, they are basically a wide 33" tire, and with that combo I don't think you'll have any trouble.

Have fun shopping!
