I need a wheel alignment for the 4X4...I started getting the death wobble again and my passenger side tire is wearing on the outside really bad.What would be the best place in Calgary to take my truck in for a wheel alignment???Guys that know about alignments.I have already printed off the specs from this website.

I'm pretty sure if you hit a KaLTIRE Dave you would do alright.The ones i deal with seem to run a pretty good shop in Sundridge.

Dave, I tried getting mine aligned to those specs and they couldnt do it - said they could only do what the machine tells them to. I hope you have better luck than I did.

Hmmm.....about $450 to $500 for a wheel alignment at Impact frame and alignment....How much was to align for your 2 wd truck... Tate??

Because its a 4x4 they are saying the standard wheel alignment will only last a couple of weeks.Some sort of bull they where saying to install some sort of shims and something called caliber bearings...??What are caliber bearings??are they the same as muffler bearings..Is this a way for a shop to make a quick buck??

I've never heard of something in that price range. Have you called National 4wd? Across from Shaw GMC?

Camber bushings? They are just an eccentric sleeve to adjust your caster and camber. Thats what they use on I-beam trucks. Theres only so much adjustment. They take a reading on your specs, see what bushings are in there, compare to ideal specs and replace the bushings. Thats assuming thats what these trucks have, I've never been into the front end of a 4by.

Thanks Tate....Thats what they where saying camber bushings....My brain got a stork after I got the price that I wasn't listening at that point.They said something that both sides of the front end had to be pulled apart to install these bushing,because the alignment will not work....I think these guys are full of it.Any other 4x4 guys been told this?Need to find a shop that knows what they are doing.When I got my truck I took it into a garage which the alignement monkey said he knows how to align 4x4 trucks.I watched him,and I could tell he didn't know nothing.I asked him to check the front end for worn parts.He said the front end was solid.After that the truck steered worse.....Even missed the worn out track bar I had...Even after replacing the track bar,it still steered worse...

I had mine done there 1 1/2 years ago. Just over $100 if I remember correctly. Had it done after my whole front end was redone. Good luck.

no no don't go to a parts store for mechanical work......ie National.... Modern


Dave it just dawned on me after I talked to you....you need to go see Southside frame & alignment. they're right beside Greatwest Kenworth. They only do suspension....they do heavy truck RV car truck 4x4s...even the city sends their firetrucks to them.

I have only done my alignment by tape and watching tire wear. I had to tweak it slightly after I replaced the tie rod ends. If you haven't run it over the railway, you shouldn't need any camber adjustment or caster for that matter.
