Whats up from the Midwest
Hey all just thought i would say hello and give a lil background on myself. Im 20 years old from South Dakota (Edited for language) i am currently going to Lake Area Tech for Diesel and i must admit that i dont know that much as my fellow students, i actually know far more about cars than i do about semi's and tractors (the two fields that we learn about there) Actually i have never ridden in an actual tractor haha which surprises my friends alot. But thats why i joined the diesel program because i have always been interested in it but didnt know a whole lot, and when that happens i soak up as much info about it as i possibly can. Which is also the reason why i joined here to learn what i can.
I am a member of one other forum caraudioforum one of the best sites to get info on car audio if you need it. Or just ask me, as i have been studying and doing car audio for about 6 years now. I have recently just started doing home audio (considerably easier). I do not own a diesel yet but am looking to buy a VW Jetta TDI after college. As i really dont have a purpose for a truck yet.

Welcome .
I have had a lot of VWs diesel , gas , aircooled & watercooled .
Also about 30 yrs. in the repair bis. , I am good at diagnostics , so that is not why my recommendation is what it is .
I would try to get as new as possible , but stay away from the electronics , go for mechanical injection ect. , unless you just like the extra things to play with .
My point is , that diesels have been simple & reliable , until they started to fill up with all the electronics .
