When you buy injectors, transmissions ,turbos or complete motors why do they always want a core.cause when a shop takes a factory part and adds their stuff to it. does it not become a remanufactured part.even if they send a core off a 96 back to bosh do they then trough them away.Maybe cause you got a machine shop and a name that makes old new. someone please let me know what new is

well some times when they modifi new part they need yours or a core to make a supply inventory ,other times there is no new part to be had, like the VP44 injection pump it has most all new parts but the main housing is no longer made, and some time new means "new reman"
when part start to become in abundace then sometimes they stop asking for cores. it has a lot to do with supply and demand and when the aftermarket industry gets rolling making more part . clear as mud?
