Whats the fix for the 0299 low boost code?

Got an 07 with a 62-14 turbo and keep getting the 299 code. Is there an easy fix for this. Its pretty **** annoying when it happens. I searched it and only got folks pointing there finger at each other. Thanks!!

are you talking about the factory plug for the electronic wastegate?? If so I made a boost fooler with a 100 ohm resister 1/2 amp between the two wires never had a boost code yet

I got the Quadzilla Boost fooler and haven't had a code since. It was about 65.00 delivered.

I would love to see the resistor fix posted up here so I can try it. I purchased a boost fooler plug with my SPS 62/14 from II and it hasnt done a **** thing.

The plug you get with a new turbo is for the electronic wastegate. All it is for is so the ECU thinks the turbo is still there and working properly. It has absolutely nothing to do with the MAP sensor that throws the low boost code. If you run an aftermarket turbo with a programmer and it is slower to spool than the stocker you will get the code. Put an Edge EZ pressure box or the like on there that actually does boost fooling and you will rectify the problem.

I pulled my boost fooler completely off and I haven't had a low boost code since. I have a 100ohm resistor in the plug that used to go to the electronic wastegate and I guess it's doing some fooling to some extent. Now I will get an overboost code if I go over 40psi though. At least the overboost code doesn't throw the truck into limp mode like the low boost code does.....
