Question What's the final verdict on the fuel pickup

I just spent the last hour or so search and reading about helping restricitions in the fuel pickup and am more confused than ever as to what works and if it is needed, note I do not want a bottom feed setup at all.
Do I really need to modify or change the fuel pickup tube or should it be looked at ... I run two pumps an essex pump and a carter (when the carter goes I am planning on putting the second essex in as a replacement. However I have take the tank out this weekend and figured it would be a good time to do it.

Thoughts please

I was reading my Dodge CD Service manual and it states there is an extra fuel pick up that is capped has anubody ever used this? I would then run two 3/8" lines to the first lp, that way that lift pump would take all it can pump and send it to the second and so on? Just a thought

Anybody??

He implied that nobody was helping him fast enough.

Haisley carries a 1/2'' tank pickup, but I think the 3/8'' Pickup does alright

1st gen that would be a 1/2" replacement that fits into the fuel pickup module, or a seperate fitting that mounts elsewhere
