Well... just lost 3RD GEAR

Went from a easy 2ed to 3rd shift and all of a sudden, bang, bang, bang, bang......etc, just like that, no warning, nothing. Went by my mechanic and he verified what I was thinking, broken tooth in 3rd. Bummer, only 125,000 on it. I thought the NV2500 was better than that, I am surprised. Time for a core exchange.

I just blew 3rd out of mine . . .
But mine was under boost from a stop. It let go at about 60 lbs when pulling the engine down from 4k rpm.

I bought all the replacement parts for around $300 . . . I went on the cheap, because I plan to change to an auto from Dave Goerend eventually . . .

Good luck,
Phill

At least you can say that you were doing SOMETHING!!. Mine was sort of like throwing out your back by picking up your dirty socks.
