My truck started makeing a wierd sound a few weeks ago..when the IM driving and slow down everything is fine..if I hit the accelarator in the 1200-1500 rpm range in a normal manner I get a noise that sounds kinda hollow, almost a vibration noise...it sounds like the old stick shifts when you were geared to low...appears to be coming from the middle to front of the truck..If I hit the pedal hard and the transmissions kicks down a gear I dont hear it..it has gotten worse over the last couple weeks...any ideas? got 40k on the truck and besides 285 BFGs it is bone stock...btw auto tranny

Check to make sure your serp belt didn't get partially shredded. other than that, check your u-joints and wheel joints
