weird problem on the way home tonight.
i was driving my 92 home tonight and about a mile from home it lost power. like it died. i put it in neutral and hit the key to start it again. oooops still running. put it back in gear and was ok for a second then missed and died again. seems like it shuts off for a sec then starts back up.
got it home, idles and starts fine. fuel filter has under 2000 miles on it power seems normal. gauges all read normal, no codes other than 12 and 55
fuel shutdown solenoid a good place to start?

ok just checked. blue wire plug in is very loose, i can see a problem there. also there is the black wire on the FSS its still nice and tight on the plug. going to go to ring terminals and make sure I have no more problems there
looking further i found the green monster has rotted this wire. anyone know where it goes? orange into the plug then black/red out. going to repair that too

thanks for the tip Bill
i fixed the broken wire plus the plug on the FSS and another bad plug. drove it about 50 miles with no problems. seems to run a bit better but i think thats just wishful thinking
DTR saves the day again

The plug in the picture is for storage/shipping. When the vehicles came to the dealers, that was unplugged. It opens the circuit for various things that use un-keyed battery power(radio memory, some interior lights, etc... ) to prevent dead batteries if the vehicle sits for extended periods.
