Weird noise from under hood
I notice it mostly in 1st, once I getup to shifting rpms it's like a squeaking like a bearing. I don't think it's a belt cause it's slightly at idle and higher rpms. Any typical failing bearings or something.?

If you use a spray bottle of water with the engine idling you can usually find squeaks when the water hits the bad component and the squeak stops for a few seconds.
Try to hit the bearing area of the alternator, belt tensioner, etc.

Sounds like the belt slipping to me. Back side drives the fan and water pump I believe.
I haven't personally seen it on mult-v belts, but in the old days when the alternator pulley would wear on the sides, the belt would bottom out and lose traction, making it squeal and slip, sometimes enough to cause the alternator to fail.

If it's tensioned right, it shouldn't do that till it's about ready to shred off. They can get brittle and hard from age and exposure, and still look pretty good.
You came up with a clue in your last post. It takes high rpm's to get the power steering to work. WHY??????
Maybe pump on the way out.
Maybe wrong fluid, too hard to pump
Maybe control valve defective
Maybe that's where the belt's slipping.
On the other hand, maybe bad belt.
Or maybe pulley on PS pump is worn.
just my 02
