Weird headlight issue

Have any of you guys had it where one headlight came on by itself while the vehicle was off?

I came out this morning truck was off and the passanger headlight only was on. I checked and the lights were turned off. I tried turning them on and off again yet the passanger side didn't turn off.

Currently Im running hid's with relays for the low beams and standard bulbs for the highbeams.

I would guess something in the wiring on the passenger side shorted out and completed the circuit enough to put juice to the bulb.

The headlights are negative switched so I'm guessing that there is constant power supplied to the bulb but they dont go on untill you turn the switch on which grounds the bulb and completes the circuit. So I think maybe a wire has rubbed through or something and caused it to ground. I could be wrong but thats my guess.

My experence with electrical problems is that the majority are owner induced.
I would check any aftermarket wiring you did or had done.

They day time running lights used to cuase both front headlights to stay on. The way to diaganose is to just unplug the module and see if the lights go off. lights go off you need that module. The module is on the left fender is rectangular and i think a dull silver color.

i came home from a movie with the wife one sunday to see my truck in the drive, all the lights on. after some messing, finally found the contacts in the trailer brake harness were contacting one another, re feeding the electrical system from the back.
