Weekend Warrior now only a 1 year warranty

Just got a call from the dealer where I ordered my Weekend Warrior and he said that he just got an email from WW stating that all campers being built, in transit or on the dealers lot will no longer have a 2 yeary warranty. They now only have a one year warranty and the new warranty cards will be sent to the dealer ASAP. He also told me that the "lifetime structural warranty" may now only be on the Full Throttle Line. Dont know what to think. The dealer is checking on all this for me with WW. I ordered a new 5th wheel about a month ago. Hope the quailty has not gone down that much, dont know if I should canel my order or not, I really liked this floor plan.

I would cancel the order. I live out in Ca. and there are tons of WW's running around out here. And I hate to say most are falling apart. I owned one, never again. I would bet WW will be closed up in 2 years. There are much better made toy haulers to get.

Never had a problem with my WW. I pull it all over the mountains, on gravel roads, etc. and no problems. I have a 2007 FS2300 that we bought in April of 2006. We use the heck out of it.

i have to agree with JuzPlaneKrazy, WW isn't do well now and all the other manufactures have caught up to there game. i have friends who just bought and every time out to Glamis they had problems. As far as the "lifetime structural warrenty" on the frame, I heard it's void if you take it off road. i dont know how true this is but I would read the contract very carefully. Good luck in your efforts....

even if it was the best unit in the world i would cancel my order just on the principle of the matter i can see saying anything bought from here on out and maybe even the ones on the lots ( if i was dealer i would complain)because they are not sold yet

but ones already bought and sold should carry just what was promised

With the departure of their management team, class-action lawsuits and the owner of WW selling all his personal stuff, I'm not 100% sure WW will be around in a year to honor that warranty.

Angry Weekend Warrior

Was advised by my RV dealer yesterday that Weekend Warrior closed their doors as of Monday. I have a 2007 WW and have had nothing but problems with it. Just got it back today from the dealer for roof repairs and a cracked sky light. Appears that any existing warranty is now void. If anyone has any additional info on WW future please post. Thanks.

Wow, pretty dissappointing to hear they closed their doors. I am not really surprized though to see them or several RV manufacturers closing doors. This economy has got to be be tuff on them. With gas and diesel so high, who has any extra money to buy or travel in an RV??

FWIW, I have a 2004 Weekend Warrior FS2600 and love it. No major problems so far. Just wish I could use it more.

They have just suspended warranty work for a week or so according to the news. It is a cash flow problem they are dealing with. They have not closed their doors. It doesn't look good but they are not done yet.

This is what happens when everyone gets tight fisted because we are scared little sheep. If we would keep spending money and do our part the economy would have a chance to recover.

Perhaps if we HAD money we would spend it? I am guessing it is not the nature of the people that changed, it is that their wallets that have shrunk. Layoffs, foreclosures and increasing prices are not helping people spend money on entertainment.

I'm more referring to the people who just "hear" the word recession and pucker up when they don't need to. I understand that there are people who are in dire straits. Obviously you can't expect those people to spend money they don't have.

This is what happens when you become arrogant and take your eye off the ball........Mark. I hope they learn a lesson and hang on, as they've been good to me and we like our trailer very much. It's too bad the guy's at Giant were so arrogant as well, representing their product.
