oh man guys guys are funny
.....leave a conner of the pan bolted up and just let the pan drop down some and kinda hang while the fluid drains....you do still need a big wide bucket to catch the ATF but it will help with the giant spills and cussing

If you are like me every now and again you just have to take an ATF bath..... Makes sure everything in throwing distance is covered and put ear plugs on the kids...

Noop, not personal at all.... That is the one job I hated to do when a Tech,,,,messy,messy,messy. Most of the time it wasn't a big deal. That one in ten will always getcha. The pan makes a sudden move down on one side and splat!!!!!! Bath time...

I did a filter change on my old 6.0 powerjoke and that was a nightmare!! The filter is located on the frame rail of the driverside. You have to crawl under the truck and and remove the horizontal filter housing to access the filter. Once removed be prepaired to take a bath in alot of diesel!!! About 2 gallons of it to be exact. That was the last time I replaced that thing. (I curse that truck daily)

thats why when i installed my HTS tranny a drain plug was installed in the pan no more having to unbolt a full pan. makes changing the fluid and filter easy.
