I've always wondered if it could be done. It would be one hell of an engine swap though. That engine is so big and heavy that it would have to go in the bed of the truck.

Been around 2 of those. They were the engine for a Berger Mark 6 yarder. Plenty of pulling power.

It'd fit in the bed, but the front end would be off the ground. Just a little to much motor.

the fun part would be finding parts to stand up to that power. im sure it wouldnt end up up being a heavy engine/transmission combo though

putt the motor on a heavy built gooseneck with a generator on it and then just put a electric motor under the hood. sounds like a train.

Think of the electric motor that could replace the stock Cummins in size! Electric have 100% torque through out the rpm range! 1/4 mile times would be awsome and the dyno would need to go higher than 1200 hp and whatever the torque limit is.

Mount that engine in the back of the truck, turn the cooling fan around and just let it push you down the road. I'm sure the fan puts out as much air as an airplane does.
