Water injection question...
I am looking into a water injection kit, but wondering if straight water increases cylinder pressure???
I am on a quest to see how far I can go on stock HG and untouched bolts. I don't want something that increases cyl pressure artificially.
What way to activate works better??? I.e. Boost or EGT

Yes I have, I think my question is more suited to my situation. The top thread is very informative but I just want to know if it increases cyl pressure or not.

Yes plain water will increase cylinder pressure as you are artificially increasing the mass of the air charge.

It depends. If you see a power increase, you can see a slight pressure increase. Typically, pure water injection systems like the smaller kits dont add cyl. pressure, but rather slow combustion down some to lower peaks. Adding methanol goes the other way, raising peak spikes.
