General Diesel Discussion Talk about general diesel engines (theory, etc.) If it's about diesel, and it doesn't fit anywhere else, then put it right in here.

Watching ESPN 2

The Mother's car show is on ESPN2 and they just showcased a truck that will be trying for the Land Speed Record this year.

A Ford F-150 that will be running in the Unlimited Diesel catagory.
They hope for 250-275MPH with a super-narrowed F-250 body and a modified diesel engine.
Think they're a using a Power-Stroke?...............................

BUUUZZZZZ wrong answer, thanks for playing.......

One CUMMINS 5.9 sits behind the cab.

BTW Bank$ hit 222MPH with a Cummins in a FULL SIZE Dakota. ;D

Edited to correct errors.

Who's making the truck? 2 5.9ISB's will be pretty heavy. they must have a [censored] amount of mods to beat the Bank$ truck. I dont understand some of these people. lol <br>SD03

Re:Watching ESPN 2

He said they were &quot;aiming&quot; for 275 mph. They estimated the weight of it all at 5000 lbs. Didn't catch who was building it though. Ugly looking rig IMO.

I have seen that one before, cool stuff. As for who is building it, ENTERPRISE ENGINE has it in their page. Click on that link, and scroll down to see pics.

Re:Watching ESPN 2

I think y'all are mis hearing/reading the info on this truck. Enterprises' web site says the truck has twin turbos, not twin Cummins. Not that twin Cummins with twin turbos would be a bad thing... ;D

Re:Watching ESPN 2

HMMMMM you might be right, that was one Loooooooong truck.

I stand corrected........that's what happens when you &quot;surf&quot; and try to watch TV at the same time.

PS Edited the 1st post.
