Wastegate (Turbo questions?)
I have an 2007 3500 1 ton 2wd 5.9 diesel.
I pulled off the turbo because there was a rattle coming from it. Well it seems to be the waste gate pressure release valve.
Can you replace them?
How loose is that supposed to be?
That part that is loose is the round part that closes off the flow.
When I pulled the turbo and looked thats a lot of sence where the nosie is coming from.
Maybe the waste gate controler isn't closing all the way?
I have noticed the truck cutting out, loss in power, when you have the cruise control on going down hill it will jerk.
