Ok guys he is my question, my truck now has 36, 150 miles on it. And today the a/c blower sounds like a 747 taking off. It sounds like a bearing out. What are my chances of getting this fixed under warranty? thanks in advance

I would say it depends on your dealer and Service Manager. I wouldn't hold my breath.

How many miles did it have on it when you took possesion? I believe the warranty is 36K after possession.

Are there any manufacturers that offer less warranty then Dodge?

If I would have researched this more before my purchase, I would probably be driving a Chevy. They were offereing 100k Bumper to Bumper on Duramax's.

Warranty sorry, What warranty sir until you have 36K thy were very nice to me always.I had my brake booster go out on my truck @ 36,276 MILES guess what thy told it would be $1,4oo to do the job $800.00 in parts because DODGE no longer makes a exact replacement part any moor and I would have to buy all new parts brake booster, master cylinder bracket that thy bolt to and all the new lines because it is longer because of new bracket now.Gus what I did call DC for help and was turned down.So the Mackinac I always use told to go on line look for Dodge parts fond a dealer out west that sales for jobber price and bout the parts for around $480.oo delivered.So me and my Friend put all the on in about two hours.!00.oo bucks for his help and with customer service from DODGE but 36K is 36K but what I had a problem with their is a 100K warranty on drive Chane.BRAKES are not part of making you go you JUST cant stop.

The noise is a common problem you can likley fix yourself.
Drop the blower and reach up in pull out the broken flopping recirc door.
Plenty of posts about this common issue in this forum.

Mine did that on another rig, and I dropped the fan and I found a dead mouse.

mine has a bad motor also, started at 1,600 miles, not fixed yet. I wonder if u can drop the motor & get a better bearing? if i take it in will i have to pay $100 for the work? if thats the case i will drop the motor & buy a new one.

If its over 36k, I wouldn't see WHY they would replace it under warranty. It clearly states 36k miles is the warranty, not 36,001. That being said, when I took my truck in for warranty work at 35,982 miles, and they had to order the parts, I specifically asked them if I would be charged for them, since I was taking my truck, without it getting fixed, and I knew that when it came back it would be over 36k. They still fixed everything under warranty when the parts came in and I was over 36k.

if you have a problem with the dealer not covering under warranty, call dodge directly. I had a wheel bearing hub assembly take a dump at 42000 miles, the dealer would not cover. called dodge and they sent me a check to cover all of it labor and parts.

tough call. Depends on your dealer. Good luck because most times 36,001 is too late. It makes sense to be courteous and cover it with 36,150 but from their perspective, then they'd soon be making exceptions for everybody. The next guy comes in with 36,250 and says "well that guy got his covered at 36150" and so on and so on until they are honoring warranties with 50k on them. Tell them it started Friday when it had 35,900 miles on it and when you call them monday, tell them you had to drive it to a job and its now over the 36,000

Why would you expect Dodge to cover anything after 36k? I guess I am just not understanding. The warranty says 3 years or 36k miles, whichever comes first. If a hub takes a dump at 42k, then guess what.. you SHOULD have to pay for it. Its all part of owning a truck. That being said, there is a reason I opted for the extended 7 yr 70k mile powertrain warranty.

there is such a thing as premature wear, and if you think that after spending 45+ thousand for a vehicle and a heavy duty truck should have this type of wear (this is no farm truck, construction, no plow,this truck is not even used for what it should be) your the type of consumer I would like to buy my products, because you think its ok there are some of us that expect alot more for our money

I believe the hubs are covered under powertrain, which is standard, at least mine was.

My dealer has a 500 mile buffer policy. It depends on the deales and their relationship with DC. I was told that the 5 star dealers have a little more "pull" if you will. Also if your service mgr. likes you he might just make it happen for you.

Right. hubs are powertrain, but I just don't understand why people would be complaining that dodge says the warranty is 36k miles. If you take it in at 36,001, then you should have to pay for it, regardless. If you buy a HDTV with a 90 day warranty, and it breaks at 91 days old, should the company suck up that loss? I don't think so.
