wanting more power

guages on the way so i wanted more power
was thinking injectors would be a cost effective way to go
what else do i need along with injectors to make a safe and reliable setup
keep in mind the trick will be daily driven and tow 12K lbs. on the weekends
any help is greatly appreciated

Injectors are a good start, bigger than 50's you will need a upgraded fuel sysytem. Start with a few tranny mods. Believe it or not, a aftermarket turbo will do wonders for you. A great tow turbo is the BD Super b. Add a good intake, Smarty Revo 170hp sw and VB and TQ and your all set towing what you want. Stay away from inj unless your going with DDP 50's, which will improve mpg and add some nice power. Higher than 50, modded fuel system.

I see you don't have a high volume liftpump or a TC and valve body.. You might wanna think about support mods before injectors.. A nice torque converter would actually seem to add a little power by making things more efficient.. Just a suggestion..

transmission has been built by a local transmission guy after i cracked the first overdrive case, sorry thats not in my signature

Bigger injectors will make things toasty fast if you dont have the air to back it up.. Duk said 50s but i have heard of guys running 90s with the stock charger (wouldnt recommend it).. I would think anything bigger than that and things will be hot and smokey.. You will need a charger upgrade...

If you still have a canister mounted lift pump I would be making a fuel system one of my top priorities, as the canister mounted pumps are inferior. I agree you will want the supporting mods first. Then I would do injectors.

Is your truck an early 04? (305/555 motor) If so, that BullyDog will not perform as great as it will on an 04.5-07 truck, so IMO I would be looking for better programming (Smarty, or TST, or Diablo Predator) and then try injectors. I still have my stock sticks and I am pretty comfy with my mods. And then next important, especially with the 03-04 trucks would be a better turbo. A HE351 off a 04.5-07 5.9 is a cheap replacement that would be effective, or something along the lines of a SuperB, or HTT 62/65-13ss. I would consider these upgrades before stix.

on the HE351 turbo is this a direct replacement or will other mods be necessary as well?

It is a direct replacement, but a resistor will be needed to fool the computer and I believe an adjustable elbow for the wastegate? Not entirely sure as I went another route turbowise but a few ppl have done this and can chime in...

it was actually a guy back home in the decatur area, i came from boyd but it doesnt have much to offer, the guy was just off of 380 north of decatur and worked out of a shop at his house, did excellent work and quick turnaround, he towed the truck and did all the work for in the 2.5k neighborhood i believe as my dad payed the bill : )

Nothing is Safe...
I think RIP is saying the Turbo off a 2004.5-2007 would work as a cheap upgrade to the stock turbo you currently have. They are capable of some good HP..
