Want to throw some money at my 2001 2500 CTD
I've got about 88k miles on my truck now and she's been running great. I just helped my dad order a bunch of parts for his 04 1500 hemi sport, and now I got the bug to tweak my cummins.
I've never done anything to my truck because I've been afraid of the gauge install. The idea of having to take the dash all apart, run fuel lines into the cab for fuel pressure, just didn't sound like fun.
I'm considering getting either the Edge Juice w/ Attitude or the Quadzilla w/ recon. Also considering either a BHAF or a fancier cold air intake. What's the easiest to install and best bang for the buck for me? I don't want to go crazy and don't want to lose reliability, but a little better performance and fuel economy would be ideal. What's the easiest way to get gauges and a chip? Are there any forum sponsors that you'd recommend I buy from?
I was heading out to Glamis a few weeks ago and pulled up next to a guy with a new F250 diesel pulling a 5th wheel--I thought I'd smoke him since I was only towing a 23' trailer--but the guy left me in the dust--and I'm not even sure if he knew we were racing LOL.

Im running the Quadzilla XZT+ on my truck and it is great for towing and hauling and the EGTs are good with it. The guage install isn't that big of a deal i put the guages in my truck in only a few hours. Alot of places sell the guages in kits with all the guage pod, wiring and everything you need for the install

Fuel system for reliabilities sake then a edge or quad box with their digital guages. Here's a link to a recommended mod list:

The problem with gauges is I don't know what parts I need. Looking for the easiest way to get good instructions and all the parts needed in one kit that will work in my truck.

the simplist way it sounds for you to go is a edge juice with attitude that has the chip/gauges as a combo and a fuel sys. to keep your injection pump alive basic 4" exhaust and a air intake.

Noworries, I got the Isspro guages, Fuel press, Exhaust gas temp, and trans fluid temp, and a autometer 3 guage pilar pod. The isspros come with instuctions and all the stuff you need for install. I cant remember who I got them from, but it was one of the venders I found here.
Do your research and take your time installing the guages. For my trans temp i also got a new trans line with the outlet port for the sensor.

My votes is twins turbos, injectors, edge drag box followed by dtt transmission/converter. I like speed. After you ruin the injection pump put in and an aftermarket camshaft and mechanical lift pump. Of course new injection pump. My buddy at work just bought a new chevy for 73K. I thought I was crazy.

If you want mechanical gauges I bought my Isspro gauges from dieselmanor.com and it was a really welll put together kit, it came with everything you would need and a few extra things just incase you need something a little different and the instructions that came with it were great.
