What turbo do I order? I would like to go with HTT. Should I go with a 62/14 or 64/14? HTB2 series or HT 71 series?
I do alot of city driving and alot of highway driving.
I dont tow that often, I have a 25' camper that weighs #5000-6000. Usually take the wifes Nissan Armada for comfort and noise (3 year old daughter says that we can talk in Mommies car[coffee] )
I like to go fast in the 1/4 mile (I know it a manual[dummy])but dont want the truck to laggy for daily driving.
Any info would be great.
Also truck is a NV4500.

I'd say get the 64/14, and from what I've been told it is well worth getting the HT71 series over a htb2...

If not towing...the 64/14 will give better top end but be a bit laggy around town. Not a serious problem for a manual tranny but killer on an automatic.
Your at that compromise spot, IMO. 64/14 for playing hard/dynos/race track...or 62/14 for spool up, daily driving and quicker low end power with less smoke. Your money...your call.

You will learn to drive around short comings of whichever you choose... so there is not real big mistake to be made... just a preference.

i just ordered my 71 series 64/14.... it hasn't come in yet so i can't give you a review yet.... but i did order the HTT manifold to go with it.....

I have the superstock 62/14 with mach 4's and love the thing cleans up nicely and absolutley no heat issues even when pulling the same weight as you. My vote is for the 62/14, takes a second to get to 10 lbs but after that hold on cause it will go straight to 45 in a blink of an eye.

I think a 62/14 is best for your needs.....

I think I will be ordering a htb2 62/14 from htt. I figure if its to small or I out grow it, it can be turned into a 64/14 for $150.

Wonder what a 62/14 w/ 370's on a 160 pump is good for ? ... i've seen numbers in the 4 - 450 range ? ...
