Wait to start light isnt showing?
Ok so since i bought my truck 2 weeks ago ive only seen the wait to start light come on about 4 times tops (drive it every day starting it at least 5 times each day) here in east tn its between 25 - 38 degrees throughout the day....in my boss's f250 his comes on every single time, i didnt know if temp had something to do with it, if it should come on every time not matter what (i would think so?) or what exactly the conditions it comes on?

If the underhood temp is 66* or higher the grid heaters won't come on. So if it was recently running and hadn't completely cooled down they won't come on. Normal ops bud.

Where in East Tn are you? I work in Kingsport but live across the line in Va.
The block heater can be a real convenience, starts are easier and you get cab heat much quicker. I'll plug it in between 1 and 3 hrs before I'm ready to go depending on the ambient temp.
The heater cord is extremely easy to install and cheap as well. Its definitely one of the best things I've done to my truck!
