VP 44 Injection Pump
If the VP-44 is going out, will a code set in the OBDII system? I'm trying to track down a slight intermitted miss at heavy throttle. I've narrowed it down to either the IP or an injector itself.

it should throw a code... and be careful cuz if ur LP goes bad and your driving your IP can suck fuel enuf to burn it out..... there is a good site for codes that can be found by typing dodge cummins codes in on google. good luck

OK, thanks. As for the LP, I'm currently running a Raptor; 21 psi idle, 18-19 posi cruising and 15-16 psi at WOT. I do have a code reader that even defines the code; but it just keeps saying "No Faults". I'm honestly swaying towards an issue with one of the injectors. I just may swap them out for my old stock injectors for testing.

Mostly with hard acceleration situations and only when in the midrange. The thing is though, it's real intermitted. It happens about 75% of the time under the above described situation. It doesn't happen at idle or even at WOT at higher RPM.

on my brothers 02 cummins it did something like what your describing... took us forever to figure it out but we eventually narrowed it down to the injector getting clogged on cylinder #6 and only delivering the right ammount of fuel 50% of the time. it also didnt throw a code... get your injectors pop tested. the local dodge house can do it... dosent cost that much to my knowledge... does it act up more when its hot or cold? the snap-on scanner would also be grand idea... great for diagnostics... if you can afford it....! costs more than i paid for my 12v! good luck
