Voltage reglator

hey-Hey!!!,
On my 1990 I had the VR fail overcharging from time to time last winter. I went and got a replacement from Napa and installed it. It is set to 15.22V. The one I took out is still higher than I'd like at 14.9V. Any way to get a lower one? I'd like 14.7 as a maximum, preferably 14.5V...but I don't want to buy every single reg in SE Michigan to fine the one that works like I want.

Any solution to this? besides building my own regulator that is...though the more I think about it the better I like the idea.
cheers,
Douglas

Junkyard. Grab a bunch of OEM regulators off vans, trucks, cars - it's the same from about '72 up to EFI. $20 ought to get you a handful.
