vibration under power 06 2500 ctd

Hey guys,
Hoping someone can point me in the right direction. I have a 06 2500 ctd, bone stock that is about to roll 90k. Last Friday while driving home at about 60 mph I noticed out of nowhere a slight vibration in the steering wheel and could feel the same sensation in the floorboards. As the days have gone by the vibration has gotten worse, and have noticed it at progressivley lower speeds. Now if im am under load going up the grade to my house, its vibrating so bad that the keys in the steering column are shaking. The kicker to the whole situation is it stops the second I let off the accelorator. However, it comes back right when I get back on it. Any thoughts on what this mystery problem could be. Im kinda at a loss.
Thanks
Pete

Could be u-joints, they are hard to tell if they are bad until you remove them. Is your truck a 6 speed or auto? If auto, your TC or flex plate could be loose.

Mine started the same way but never got worse than the small vib in the steering and floorboard. Back u-joint and all is
fine.

Glad i seen this, my 04 is starting to do the samething. Under power at about 55-60 you can feel it if you get above 60 it goes away and if your below 55 its not there either. I notice it really when it shifts into 4 gear under power. Ive got under and looked at the u joint looks fine but it is the stock u joint and the truck just turned over 141K so it maybe time to get it changed.

I replaced my two rear most u-joints at around 40,000 to 60,000 and now I just was pulling home and felt a vibration. Crawled under the truck and the second from the rear is wiggling. Barley noticeable. I had the greasable Napa Precision joints. This time I'm going to try the lifetime non-greasable.
