Very high fuel pressure on deceleration

I am wondering if damage can occur with this high pressure. I run on WVO, and when I am going downhill on the freeway, foot off the pedal, my fuel pressure will climb up to 45-50 psi, until I step on it again. If I switch to diesel on the same descent, the pressure will instantly drop to 30 psi, normal. Is this high pressure OK, or is there the possibility of internal IP damage?

The Bosch specialist I talked to several years ago told me anything over 45psi is tempting fate...

My guess is the higher viscosity of the WVO makes it harder to pass though the overflow valve.

Thanks, I thought it was a viscosity issue as well. I'll have to pay attention to it.

I did the spring trick (lenghten) it to about one half inch ( it has 117,000 Mi. on it at this time) I run 35-40 pounds fuel presure all the time even at idle and WOT.
