I just pulled my air filter, and it was very dirty, seemed to have a lot of moist carbon/oily crapp in it as well as a lot of bugs. My vacume indicator on the filter never indicated out of the green. How much does it take to pull the indicator out of the green?

I could pull mine in with a new filter so I tended to ignore it. Yours may be stuck.

Sounds like a normal dirty filter. I run Napa Gold/Wix 2846 air filters and my filter minder has never moved even after 20,000 miles.

I would ignore the filter minder as they are pretty much useless.....Thats why Dodge stopped putting them on the trucks around 2008.

I didnt know thre quit useing them. I just thought since mine was fairly new it might actually work. Thanks.

I'd kind of be worried about the "moist oily crap" on an air filter... but that's just me.
