Vent visors + tow mirrors?

Will this work? Packages always say "non tow mirrors". Are the shape of the bases different? Anyone do this successfully?

Thanks,
Shawn

I have the tow mirrors and vent visors but my vent visors are the "in channel" ones whice means that they tuck up in between the window and door

By "tow mirror" are you referring to 3rd gen flip out mirrors installed on a 2nd gen? If so, I've got a set on my truck with the gts ventgaurds. The curve for the mirror base at the very end is slightly different, added some 3m double stick foam tape like they include on the visor to that area and pressed hard for a few minutes. Fits fine now.

Yes those are the ones. Either manual ones, the new kool vue ones, or the swapped bases third gen/ second gen hybrid.

Does GTS offer visors for quad cabs as well, or no?

Thanks,
Shawn

I have Kool vue's and lund vent visors, I didn't even notice much of a difference. Not sure about quad cab visors, I've been looking for some myself.

Here is a decent writeup that I've seen. http://www.klenger.net/dodge/2nd-gen...g-mirrors.html In my case, my truck (99) had power/heated mirrors, but the wires/connector from the new power/heated mirrors were not the same. I've done plenty of automotive wiring in my life, efi swaps, etc... but this was still a PITA trying to figure out which wire went where. None of the matching wires were the same color and my FSM was no help. Somewhere I wrote down which wire went to which, and if I can find it I'll post up. Also used a press to compress the spring and put on the retainer. I'm not sure how you would do it otherwise. You'll see what I mean when you take apart the base.

Not sure if they do or not. My truck is a qc, but I only did the fronts. Might try JC whitney.

When I bought my vent visors, they didn't make any for the quad cabs since the windows open from the rear, and not from the top like a typical window.

I have ventvisors on both trucks, and the tow mirrors on both, and they fit fine. You can see they aren't designed for the bigger base, but its not enough to concern me at all.

They now make power heated mirrors for 2nd gens that are a direct replacement.

Weather-tech makes a nice set. Any in-channel visor will work. My problem is that I want stick-ons.

"Kool-Vue". Search that on here and you'll find a lot. The gist of it is that you would still have to hardwire because you didn't have heated mirrors as an option. Also, because you didn't have tow mirrors to begin with you'll need some additional hardware, but that's cheap.

That's an auction for a set. Also, they offer the plates for a nominal fee. No I don't work for them, no this isn't a sales pitch

There is a pretty lengthy thread on here somewheres, with lots of folks running them who are very happy with them.
