Veggirob: New to forum and diesels.

Hello to you all. I'm looking forward to conversing and learning. I've got a lot to learn. As a matter of fact, can someone recommend a source of explanations for all the abbrev. you use? It may as well be Egyptian for all I can tell.
I have figured out that my 2WD is really a 1WD and since it's started making noise, I'd like to chg my Dana 70 to posi-trac. Should I look for a complete rear end/ axle or can I find the internals to match my axles, etc.?
p.s. Pls don't use those acronyms yet, like ATM, WiFi, ATF, BOHICA.... I'm still working on all this.
thanks, Veggirob

Welcome!!!! If you feel your re-end is on the way out you might look into finding a Dana 80 either from a wrecked truck or for sale. Alot already have LSD (lismited slip differential) as it was a popular option. If you do a rebuild and add LSD to it you are looking at about 500 ish + if you pay someone. I have used good dana 80 with a LSD go for that or just little more. Just one mans opinion.

Much apprec. your advice, Dieselfreak21. I'll look into that option. I guess the first thing to learn is what parts interchg. w/ what.
Thanks again
