van aaken 3.2/quad standard
I am going to try out a van aaken 3.2 on my truck and looking for advice. Remove the quad completly or leave it on to add timing and some pressure. If I run both what levels should I run? I am looking for increase in low end with smooth power. I am not drag racing or pulling and try not to launch too hard for the sake of the tranny. I do pull my trailer 1-2 times a month around 8000 lbs or so.
thanks

The 3.2 will run hotter than your quad because it does no timing. It is a good box that delivers smooth consistent power but it will run hot especially if stacked with the quad.

I have stacked a VA 3.2 with a BDDL and an MP-8. I usually have the VA 3.2 turned all the way up, the BDDL on performance with the MP-8 on about 1/2. Too much pressure on the MP-8 coupled with the Extreme program just doeasn't work well for my truck. That combo above is used without the trailer. With a trailer on I turn them all down a notch. The VA box is nice and halfway it gives good economy and power.

I have the C3.2 and I run it on tow mode all the time. I had it stacked with a Ramifier, and it smoked way too much. And yes, the EGT's were out of control.
