Valve covers

Anyone have pictures of there chrome valve covers or anything else they did like paint them etc. I need to replace my gaskets and im thinking about sanding them down and painting them black. Im trying to get ideas of what’s been done and what I can do. Also anyone paint the plate that goes over the covers?

I've seen someone on here that took the vavle covers off their 12v, blasted them, sanded, and polish them up. they looked pretty good. Now for a 24v, I stripped mine and painted it red . I didn't like how it looked as red so I stripped and sanded it again and painted it black w/ polished letters. Sorry no pics though.
