valve cover leak
I need to replace the orings on the valve cover bolts. I bought new valve cover gaskets, but they didn't come with the orings for the bolts.
Any ideas on where to get them?
edited for future reference: They are a #7 O-ring (1/2od x 3/8id x 1/16)

Cummins. I've never replaced those o-rings and they don't leak? If I just had to have them, I would try matching them up from a hardware store's assortment of o-rings or the like.

Thanks pulltilbroke, I run over there tomorrow and see how they do. Mine are so bad out of shape that I thought they were shaped more like grommets than orings

Go to the hardware store and get them, they are just a common o-ring, the look can be deceiving.
I went to Dodge and they wanted like $5.00 each for them.
You can get a Nitrile o-ring kit for about $5.00 or get them in the plumbing department for about 25 cents each.

yeah just get an O-ring kit and use ones that fit, you'll probably use a few more O-rings on the truck too so might as well get a kit that has a bunch of different sizes.

Thanks for all the replies guys. I would say that I can't believe that I've made this long without a generic o-ring kit, but the reason I have, is because I assumed they were generic. And I also thought the ones I would need would be specific to application in size/diameter.
Also thanks to the poster below. I was upset that I didn't get an o-ring with my valve cover gasket, so I dug out the receipt and along with it...I pulled out an o-ring! I just overlooked it before...(so Adv@nce Auto also includes o-rings)
