Wink

What "value"....trade in ?

I was offered 10K for mine , as a trade in , on an `06 Mega Cab....KBB has the truck as being worth much more , but the economy says otherwise.

Someone else on here just totaled their `03 Quad Cab and got 22K from the insurance company.....

Trade in values are based on BLACK BOOK nowadays, not near KBB TI value. My friend just got an 05 F250 w/ low miles 4x4 Lariat for 14000.00 from a FORD DEALER of all places! It's kinda sad around here but at the rate that diesel prices are falling, values should bounce back up.

I would say closer to $10k for an '03. I was told $7k for my 04.5 with 92k on it about two months ago. You can't go by KBB nowadays.

This makes my want to . Just over a year ago, I was looking at used chevy, ford, dodge, diesels 2005 and older that were in the $30K range...

Found a relatively good deal and for $10K more I was able to get my new beauty.

If I only had more patience. However, I had all ready been putting off buying a diesel truck for years all ready...

Its worth about as much as a good boat anchor. The market is dead for these trucks. The bank would only loan 15k. on the truck in my sig.

I sold my 98.5 for 10K w/ 162k on the OD. thats KBB value. Its definatly a buyers market but if you can find the right buyer you can sell your truck for close to what KBB says.
Just paid 26k w/ 39k on the OD for my new mega, the bank told me the black book on my new truck was 34k.

Technically the stock market is a buyers market too right now.

Now is the time for good deals to buy, not sell, whatever it is.
