Vacuum Shift Motor
My Vacuum shift motor on my front axle went kaput! Anybody happen to have one?? I can get one for $157+sh but I am one poor college kid who is gonna need it soon for pullin hay wagons outta muddy field. Any help would be great.

I would make certain that the vacuum motor is bad, usually it is a line or the switch on the T-case, I have seen a kit on E-Bay for about the same money that eliminates the whole vacuum set up. It's a manual cable similar to a pto cable. If I ever have trouble with mine I am going to that type system.......Think I will make my own though........

I did check the motor, the yoke and the pin it slides on are bad the pin is chewed up and the yoke will not lock the collar onto the axles or retract it, too much slop. Someone had messed with it before me. So now I gotta fix their mistake.

I was able to pick up just the motor housing at a junk yard for $10, probably could have bought the whole thing for less than $25. Easy junk yard find since it's used on the gassers also.
