vacuum pump, power steering repairs. pump lube line?
I spent the weekend working on the truck again and replaced the power steering pump and re-sealed the vacuum pump. I notice the steering is 10x better and I gained 3" of vacuum on the pump somehow.
Problem I had was when I went to take off the oil line from the bottom of the vacuum pump, I loosened the elbow where it goes into the braided line and now not only can I not get the elbow off by turning, I also cant thread it back in!
Anyone know if this assembly is one piece with a swivel or if its meant to screw out? Right now theres 1/16" of a gap there where its sticking out and Im worried about popping an oil line. Its clamped and safety wired for now.
Getting at this line doesnt look like fun.. its really buried in there.
