vacuum pump bracket

vacuum pump bracket
I just upgraded my old 1989 canister type vacuum pump with a 1994 type vacuum pump. The instructions that came with the 94 pump say
"remove bottom inboard nut that attaches adapter to steering pump. This nut secures a small bracket to engine block..."
My older 1989 vacuum pump had non of this, adapter or bracket.
So I'm wondering if I need to fabricate a bracket? I see on the web site where I bought my 94 vacuum pump how they are prone to busting the ears off the adapter (the part between the vacuum pump and the power steering pump) So I wonder if it is smarter to make a engine bracket or leave the bracket off?
I can immagine how it could cause stress to the adapter either way! Thoughts?

Will do. My next question is;
Is there somewhere I can see a picture of the vacuum pump oil line going into the engine block?
I'm 90% sure I see the plug on the side of my 1989 engine that I should remove to hook up my newer "oil line" type vacuum pump. But I want to be 100% sure before I start pulling plugs out of the side of my engine and hooking up lines to the plug hole!
Also, any suggestions on how to bend the throttle bracket out of the way to fit the now longer vacuum/ps pump assembly in there? Two people have told me you just bend the bracket out of the way. I'm wondering if anyone has done this and if there are any ideas of the best way to bend it.

Please disregard the second part of my question, I cut the throttle bracket, just under the bottom most throttle cable assembly bolt, nice and clean with a band saw.
I don't care for how the bracket can bounce around now, so I will probably fabricate the bottom of the bracket into an "h" shape and bolt it back to the bottom of the engine if it becomes and issue.
But I'm still hoping you guys can show me a picture of where the vacuum pump's oil line goes into the engine block.

OK, I'm getting down to it.
I mounted the oil feed for the vacuum pump to a hole in the engine block that had a plug in it, about 4 inches forward of the oil sending unit. That has to be correct, right?
I pulled the bottom bolt hole that was left open after cutting the throttle bracket out of the way. Putting a bolt back into this open hole also gave the Injector pump the 2 bolts it needs on this bottom bracket.
I fire the machine up in a few minutes, or hours depending on how moving all the lines back goes!
I might feed a little engine oil into the pump at the oil feed port but haven't decided yet.
Wish me luck!

OK, got everything installed and it works fine. I'll do a write up if I find time and I have it down on my list to picture the oil line port and put the picture in my gallery.
Bad news, Auto transmission won't pull! It slowely tries to pull in reverse but forward is needing to wind it up just to slowely move back into the garage. I think I burned it up on the way home. I'll start a new thread to try to get some help figuring that out!
Geez! By the time I'm done, I'll have fixed or replaced everything but the engine!
