how to use EDGE and PYRO???

This might sound dumb but how do you use or read the pyro on the attitude minitor. My truck is in signature below. Whatever level i put it on 1-6 as soon as I lay into pedal the egts go up to 1500 in 2 seconds and my attitude alarm beeps. How can a person use the chip without going over 1200? Or can you allow it to go up there? do u get what i mean. I can be driving along at 60 mph and egts will be like 750-800. I stomp on it to pass and egts shoot up to like 1500 in 2 seconds and the alarm goes off on the attitude. How can you use the chip without going over 1200? even at stock setting it goes over???

there are a couple ways to lower the egts: bigger turbo, water injection, more eff. intercooler, intake horn, straight thru exhaust. turbo is the most common up grade for keeping egts down once you start up grading your truck.

You can set the limits on it. So if and when they are reached, it will defuel. How to do it, I can't remember.

OK found it. Press the menu button, select juice configuration and press enter. Select max egt set point then press enter. Raise or lower the highest point until defuel then save and exit. Have fun!

I have pretty much str8 thru exhaust. I DELETED stock CAT and MUFFLER and have just a AERO4040xl between turbo and exhaust tip. So that should be decent enough for exhaust. I have a ****** whistler intake. What i mean to ask is if the egts jump from 800-1300 in 2 seconds is it actually accurate that way or does a guy have to maintain the 1300 egt for atleast 10 seconds? How is it even possible to floor these things then? even stock settings bring me up to 1300 easily. probably 1600 on stock if I pass somebody

He said it does it on level 1 thru 6.

It shouldnt get that hot on any of the first 3 levels based on my previous experience with that box. In fact my old J/A module wouldn't break 1400 on level 4 (not hot) not matter how hard I tried.

Something may be wrong with the PYRO probe?

Check backdown %. If it's not at 100%, something is wrong with the module.

no it shouldn't get any hotter cause the box cuts the fuel back so there is no fuel there to create the egts.

From what I've seen, the EGTs can sometimes overshoot the selected maximum before the module has a chance to react and defuel it. You might have to take the truck out and play around with the maximum setting a bit to get the EGTs to end up where you want them. Try a setting of 1200 and see how far past that it will shoot.

Bosch recommends no higher than 1300. Set the alarm @ 1275. You might have to do some more tweaking on it to keep the egts under control.

but basically if I set it at 1250 and the alarm at 1250 if my module is working the way it should I should be able to keep truck floored and it should never rise over 1250?
\
My module and everything should be good because I sent everything into edge a month ago and they basically sent me brand new everything
