not sure on the tps one more thing i would check is the fuel filter my did the same it would idel fine but when you got on the go peddel it would die i sat on the highway for 6 hours i changed the fuel filter and the lift pump and that fixed it. also check for air in the lines.

I doubt it would be the TPS. I had a problem with the TPS sticking, causing the throttle to stick (idling along at 45 mph :o ) but I dont think the TPS would cause the truck to die.
Heres a site to check the TPS voltage (I set mine at around .7 VDC at no throttle): http://www.piersdiesel.com/Tech1GTPS.htm
The TPS only controls the 3-4 shift though, so I really doubt it could cause the problem you are describing.

i just cal. my tps not the problem as stated still have no idea what it would be
I dont think that your tps would make your truck die, di you pull the bost line off to get to the fuel pin. if so, did you get the banjo washers back on. just a thought.

i took off the big allen that holds the arms on the pump which has to pieces and a spring .that the linkage conects to
In that case you did not mark where they were when you took them off. the linkage goes on a splined shaft, when you put it back together you got the linkage indexed wrong. if I'm not wrong, you need to take the linkage back off and move the linkage towards the front of the truck one spline at a time until it idles right. be ready to shut the truck off in case you move it the wrong way to much cause it will idle high if you do. I'm not real good at explaining things, so I hope this helps. good luck.
