Upgraded MAP sensor???

Just now learning that the stock MAP sensor only reads up to 40psi on our 1998.5-2002 Cummins. If a guy wants to now how much boost he is really seeing while staying with the Edge that gets its boost reading from the MAP, I guess he needs an upgraded MAP sensor. Does anybody now where you can get one fo these or who makes them?? I guess theres ones that read up to 60psi.

There's no need for it, is there?

Don't these monitors have a ports for hooking up a separate sensor?

I don't know but would rather not get a seperate gauge if all I have to do is get another MAP sensor and then my Edge will read up to 60psi.

I've never had an issue running over 60psi running the edge comp box. One plugs into the map sensor and the other is for the IAT. Its been awhile, so I could be wrong. At that point edge just fools the ecm into thinking you only have 20psi and keeps dumping in the fuel. The only issue I've ran into is the VP seems to run out of fuel running bigger sticks and they make truck lay down and defuel itself. My truck runs on three cylinders after a hard pull is my box is on kill mode. Busa, you coming to the meet in March?

Get a mechanical gauge and run the COMP box instead of the juice. Much easier to take a glance at during racing/pulling situations...

My issue is the Edge Monitor not being able to read over 40psi. The truck runs great and pulls hard but I want to make sure I don't have to much boost for the stock headbolts. I'm leaning towards just putting in a mechanical boost gauge but wants to see if anyone knew about this magical MAP sensor. Yes I will be coming to the dyno day and trying to pop a headgasket while reaching 500hp
