upgrade questions 03 3500

ive got an 03 3500 qc dually 6spd 4x4
so far ive added a
bully dog tripple dog.
afe intake
mbrp 4in exhaust.
south bend dual disk clutch
gauges- pyro,boost, fuel pressure

on the list of items coming
fass fuel system.

with the fass should i get a modified cp3 pump will i notice the difference?
ive thought about a boost fooler but what excatly does it do and will it help me with hp/tq?
what other mods would you guys suggest to get more out of the truck with out tearing the motor out and completely rebuilding the entire truck?

i know a bigger turbo which may happen sometime next year but for now i doubt it.
the truck is my daily driver/ work truck. it pulls trailers. plows snow. and goes here ever i point it. id just like to get more power(what man doesnt want more power)

I doubt you will feel a difference with a modded CP3. The thing that really took my rail pressure down was the MP-8, which is a pressure box. You could try the DIY CP3 which has mixed results. I noticed a big hit down low when I did my mod. I am going to send my pump to Floor-it just so I know it is right and will last a while.

The boost fooler will let the turbo build more boost. I believe an 03 is 28psi stock. A boost fooler will let you go over that without setting a check engine light for overboost. I think on your truck you need a boost elbow, which is a simple wastegate controller. I am sure someone more educated on the 03's will chime in.

I dont think Crazy Larry works on your truck either, but if it does, load it. It makes a big difference in power.

You will have to have a different boost and some sort of boost fooler to get more boost. Stock 03 wastegate is set at 21 psi. When i had a stock turbo, I left the stock boost elbow in, with an MP8 TST stack. You wont gain much with just a boost fooler. Look into a adding a little pressure, XZT, MP8, something like that has boost fooling built in.

I haven't heard anything but disappointing results with the Triple Dog or PMT on an 03. Maybe he should ditch the BDTD for something more effective on an 03? Or wait for these new softwares supposedly coming out from BD this year? I seems like most guys with an 03 weren't willing to wait any longer for BD and have had much more success with alternative fueling mods.

I was set on a PMT but have little faith in BD to come out with decent 03 programming....after having borrowed a Smarty from a friend, I have decided to do a Smarty/TST PMCR stack.

i dont know how much you want to make, but my trucks a good baseline.
no rail presure issues at almost 400hp i dont realy recomend most huys disabling the waste gate, ive hit 60 psi, but normaly let off in the 40 psi range. the big benifit is that it keeps the truck from bleading drive presure at low boost. i can make 20 psi @ 1200 rpm. i reconect the boost line, and can barely make 5psi in the same conditions.. .

I'm I wrong but I don't think boost foolers work on 03 and 04 1/2s. There are no kind of sensors or power to the turbo. I'v boosted up in the 60 psi range and has seen it hit 62 psi.

The boost fooler on a 305 motor is just to keep from throwing codes. It plugs into the MAP sensor not the turbo. So to get more boost on an 03 without codes you need a boost fooler, and a new boost elbow or a way to keep the wastegate closed longer. On the 600s a boost fooler is needed to keep the wastegate closed as well as to keep from throwint codes.

Ok I get it, I do have the boost elbow. I know my buddy has an 06 with a TST, Smarty stack and the **** thing throws codes everyday seems like. He has a boost fooler and I think the TST offers some kind of fooler also
