Updating Quadzilla XZT+

I just received the new XZT+ for my 2001 and have been attempting to install updates from the Quadzialla website but must be doing something wrong. Windows is detecting the device and installing it as a USB to Serial Converter but is unable to start the device (Code 10). Device manager shows that the current driver installed for this device is from Quadzilla Inc, 1/3/2007 version 1.0.0.0.

I have attempted the update from a Windows XP machine and a Windows 2003 box with the same results. I have also used multiple USB cables to rule that out. I am sure there is something I am missing but I haven’t figured it out yet.

That's what it did with mine. It says the device is working properly, but when I run one of the update programs, it says it can't detect the module and asks me to retry over and over.

Guess I'll have to call on Monday.

I had the same problem and worked with them on it. Turned out all I had to do was hit update module and plug and unplug it a couple times until the flasher finally recognized the module. Worked fine since then but it was a pain the first time for some reason. I had the same code 10 error--which is only a time out error. The driver and eveything should still be installed just fine. I was told if you hit update module it looks for the module for 20 seconds until it times out. If you just try to retrieve info it only looks for 5 seconds or something like that.

GFB is right. Try to run the program and wait until the update screen says "searching for module" and then plug the usb cable into the module. Sometimes when I run the update with the module already plugged in it wouldn't find it.
