hi guys,
i emailed the quad suport page and got a reply,my question was can i send in my quad race box for an early 04 and get it updated to have the new milage tune on the setting 1.thier reply was as i read it;; for a fee of110$ i can exchange my box for a new x2 updateable box then i can load the new m/m tune in it.does this sound right?seems pretty reasonable to me.do i retain my race tune on the high setting?has anyone updated an race box to the new x2?

Once you upgrade the hardware you can download anything you want off of this page:

And you can update it and change them as often as you would like.

There are a lot more tunes coming to, this was just the start.

wow this sounds great,as soon as i get home im sending in the box to be upgraded.this is the first ive ever heard of being able to basically trade up a used box for a better one,ive read quads customer service was great but this blows me away.now if i could just get him to give me a morgage for my house,hahahahaha.

I didn't think they were ready to start the upgrade program yet. This is the first I have heard of them starting it. I wish they would hurry up and send my new Quad Commander while they're at it! Whatz up? Are the harnesses in yet? I need power and more toys. Hurry!

Yes you will have to pay the fee and when you go to update the module to whatever tune you would like their are currently 8 tunes for the x2 race thus far, it takes literally 30 seconds once file is saved on your computer its unreal how quickly it does it, then their will be 5 available settings that can be adjusted on the fly and quad has two tunes out that have the m/m software in the race tune that are allowing setting #1 to be the m/m level. My x2 is great but the new harness' arent in yet im using an old one I found laying around.

That's not good because I want to get the commander installed first and then, later, update my module..................still patiently waiting!

I just put that tune on my truck.
The Race tune with the MPG setting on level 1.
I now just need to drain the tank and see if changed.
I really like the fact I can try to increase my MPG durning normal driving, then turn the Race all the way up when I feel like driving like a jerk.
