Updated the sig :)
Well after having my truck down for quite a while its now back on the road with a few new goodies installed. Im havin trouble with the turbo though, at WOT its only makin 26 psi max and blowin all kinds of smoke. It even runs pretty strong like that but i think i can do better. We've tightened down the wastegate quite a bit but didnt seem to help much, so we'll be checkin for boost leaks here soon, and maybe playin around with the wastegate a little too. I think i should be able to clear up the smoke pretty good with a 68mm turbo, but thats not the case at all, so i think somethin is up.

Yeah, we pulled an all nighter to get it back together, but it was worth it It does still smoke like crazy at WOT. It will completely black out the road, so we either have a bad boost leak, or the wastegate actuator needs to be adjusted. It is dang stout at 20psi though. I think when we get it up around 55psi is when it will really come to life though

a deeper plug on the front of the pump, which allows more rack travel.
congrats on the truck!
before seting the trucks up, like now, we put on the 64 turbo on a 215 with a shimmed rack travel plug, it made 40 psi boost, but didnt clear up any more then it did with the stock hx35, it had stock 180 hp injectors! crazy!
with the htb2 62 turbo it clears the smoke nicer and makes more boost, the 64 was too big i guess!

Congrats Josh!
Glad to hear it finally all came together. You were more patient that I would have been. Mine is maybe going to be here Friday (missed the truck yesterday). Otherwise I'll have to wait another week.
Any other tips on the head? Now you've got me nervous talking about smoke and only 26 psi.
Paul
p.s. - that isn't a typo is it - Sledpuller "68"?

68 is no typo Its a modified 66 It spools pretty good with the ported head, and cam. I drove it about 30 miles yesterday, and was real impressed. I think it must be making over the 20psi it is showing, but it still smokes like crazy at WOT So when we get the boost line fixed good we will know for sure.

We got the boost line fixed and also checked for boost leaks while we were at it. Found a huge leak on the intake manifold, so i went to napa and picked one up. Itll tap 50psi now and then back off to about 46. We bumped the timing to 25* tonight. I put a different boost elbow back on the turbo thinking maybe it would make the boost a little higher, but itll only build about 35 now, going to put the old elbow back on tomorrow and see how it does, so far though EGTs are a LOT cooler with the 5* of added timing.
