Unusual Tire Wear

OK I'm not the best at rotating tires as often as I should. But here's my question. Why would rear tires wear faster than front. Nope I'm not burning rubber either. It seems that the rears are wearing twice as fast as the front. 315 BFG Hummer wheels combo with 50 psi in the front and 45 in the back. Will just rotating them more often help?

Do you have the limited slip differential? I do and I can hear my inside tire bark a little when I turn a corner and get on the go pedal. Maybe that's it?

I am running the Goodyear MTR tires and I have experienced the same wear as you. I also have not left any extra rubber on the roads. The only thing I can figure is the torque we produce plus trying to get the heavy truck moving is causing this rapid rear tire wear. If you find a cause or a cure Please let me know.

Yes, rotating them more often will help. I rotate mine every 7500 miles or so. Try cross rotation, front to back.

yes its power and it doesn't always matter if you have anti spin. My dad has a '97 dually without anti spin and his back tires wear 2-3 times faster and I have never seen him get on that truck. IMO Its just the power going to the road
