Undercoating?
I only keep my vehicles for 4 to 5 years but I wonder if it'll actually make a significant noise reduction. Anyone had it done recently?

I actually did mine tonight, took me a couple of hours to make sure all was perfectly clean...I used 8 cans of the stuff fram Napa. I put it on really heavy. I am trying to get rid of some of the road noise/drone as well. I was getting nasty rock chips all along the bottom of the body beneath the doors, and I hit that area too. This paint is terrible on these things. I have a 98 Chevy 2500 with 150K on it that has about 4 chips altogether in that area of the body, and my Dodge is 6 mos old with 17K on it, and I think that more primer than pain is showing under the doors! I have a black truck keep in mind so the undercoat along that panel matched my paint. Would require more care with another color obviously. Will report on sound levels tomorrow after I take it for a drive.
