I have the exact same problem, I dont wanna throw my tools on top of expensive subs. I talked to a speaker place around here and they told me it cant be done, so I didnt get any subs (which is ok cuz I really can't afford them) Anyways I would also like any info on geting subs under the front seats.

i have a good friend that owns a car audio shop and the 10's are the biggest under the back seat that fire up and my 12's fit in a box under the seat but they fire forward and it takes a lot of rear seat leg room away. plus you have to have speaker grilles so they dont get damaged but i liked the loudness of the 2 12's so i kept them..hope this helps any

do a search for a center console box. there is some one out there making a box you put where your center console seat goes and you top center console bolts on top of that or go here. My buddy has this in his dually and it hits pretty hard. http://www.mainstreet-audio.com/Merc...ory_Code=RAM99

my brother has down fireing 12's under the rear seat of a DAKOTA x-cab...it can be done and they absolutly SLAM.....it is riduclous 2 JL 12's hooked to 2 500/1's both stashed inside the wall of the x-cab...all custom and all done by himself...he did the air space calculations on auto-cad..designed the box...and started cutting MDF...came out clean....he did need to remove the seat brackets but it was ok...cuz he mounted them to the box...so he didnt lose the use of the back seat....i have ridden back there and it is down right ugly...you feel your teeth rattle, rather than hear them rattle....

I have a JL audio stealth box that replaces the lower center seat cushion. You cannot tell it is there. It doesn't have very much padding but nobody sits in the middle of my truck with the manual anyay.
It came with 1 12w3 that fires down. I am driving it with a JL500/1 amp mounted under the pass seat.
It is fun turning the music up and watching people who have never been in the truck before look everywhere for the box.

i have a single, down-firing 12 under my rear seat. no loss of legroom, just the seat sits an inch higher on the edge than normal. i still have plenty of room for tools and other stuff i keep under the seat back there.

currently I have 2 12's where the back of the back seat used to be, the bottom is still there, so i can carry my pool cue case and other things, but i dont want people in the back seat, Plus I lost my rear seat belts when I had the enormous stereo in there 4 years ago ( 8 12's powered by 8 -1000 watt amps ans 2 -300 watt amps for the fronts, ) it was a show truck/ demo vehicle for the local stereo shop i worked at , if i could post pictures I would it was quite humorous

I made a down firing box for one JL 10w3 that goes under the rear seat on the drivers side. I took me about a day, but I made sure it wouldn't effect someone sitting there. Im going to cut the organizer rack so that it fits right against the box that way I can still store things on the passanger side. Ive seen pics of the boxes that replace the middle seat and they look pretty cool. What I wondered about those is when the sub hits, are you always gonna feel the vibration in the console? I always have my arm on the console so that might get annoying, I figured it would be easier just to make one that would fit under the rear seat.

I have two 15" subs under the back seat.....

I built a custom box. They fire upward and keep the back seat empty. I used to have them in a box sitting on the back seat. Now they are under it,
so the dogs and the little one can have more room. (and the subs rock the baby to sleep )

In otherwords, get some particleboard, glue and sub carpet and make a box that fits your needs. I did, and it worked great.

15's nice what kind? the ones i was looking at the depth of the basket and magnet were too deep even the 12's i have would have been pushing it I orig had 4 kicker solabarics in place of the back seat the remade the box for just 2 because I wanted a deep bass note(bigger box)

I may be making a fiberglass enclosure for under the seat to use up all of the avail space, when I do I may produce them made-to-order

not a bad idea. The subs are rockfords he2's and I had to lift the back seat.... but who cares, the lab, ausi and baby don't need much headroom!

Maybe you could make the original poster a nice enclosure for the front.
