un plug daytime running lights and lose bright light indicator

I unplugged my daytime running lights and found that I don't have a bright/dim indicator on the dash. When it is plugged in it works. I would like to not use the daytime running lights and I am curious if there is a quick fix to this like jumping a wire or whatever anyone else has found.

Did the same on my '98. I didn't even consider fixing the indicator light thing. I found it pretty easy to tell if my brights were on or not.

It's just a matter of adding a jumper to the connector.....but I can't remember which one. I made a nort-o-da-border guys truck work like ours when his module took a dump on him.

I did the jumper as the pic shows, and it didn't work for me.
