what U jonts to use

Hey eveyone have a 2006 dodge ram diesel.. I just had my buddy that owns a garage change my rear u joints but what i didt like was how they fit they went in ok after we burned the old ones out but when we put the clips in the new ones it was wicked hard it get the clips to fit in the groves.. it made the front one knida stiff but he say not to worry well I'm the u joint we used were for his 2500 dodge ram 05 the part number spicer 5-160x I think it might use that one but I think with thiner clips and if so is the damage done should i change the u joints again or???? thanks for the help.. I going on a trip Friday so i would like to know bf it get stuck.. thanks again

I also have a 2006, when I went in for the fuel tank vent recall they told me that there was also an outstanding notice from Dodge (not a recall, and the notice just went to Dodge dealers) that my u-joint yokes might not have the correctly machined grooves for the snap rings. They checked the width of the grooves. They said they were good. The list they showed me had a dozen or so serial numbers on it. You could have one of these trucks.
