U-Joints Replaced At 22000 miles

Just wondering if anyone else had problems with the u-joints on there trucks. I took mine in the first time and told them what was wrong with it, came back the next day to pick it up and the service manager told me he would love to fix my truck but there was just nothing wrong with it. I was really pi....... to say the least. He acted like I had no idea what I was talking about and didn't seem the least bit interested in helping me. Took the truck back four weeks later and told them I wanted it fix and fixed right this time. Come to find out the u-joints were bad just like I stated the first time I brought it in, when he assured me they checked them and they were fine LOL.. Yeah right !!! Anyway just venting and wondering if anyone else has had this problem with u-joints this early on ??

thanks

matt

4th rear joint behind carrier bearing 54,000 miles,. though I think that has more to do with the abuse it sees, and the wheel hop(axle wrap). man it needs bars.

So far Dad's truck has had a rear driveshaft u joint, and a front axle u joint put in, they separated the hub in the process of getting the old one out, too. He just hit 60K not too long ago.

Just had mine done 45,000 miles. 3 u joints and the carrier were shoot. I think I'm going to have to find a good u joint @ the parts house and keep some on hand.

I can say I was amazed by the dealership, I didn't pull anything off my truck just toke it in and they covered it under warranty and actually did a full driveline replacement. Service manager said it was cheaper for them to spend a little more on parts and save on labor.

I did my rear/rear joint at 24K myself. Since then, no troubles.
