Twin turbos or single?

Hey guys, i have a 01 2500 automatic, triple disc and valve body, 75hp injectors, defueler, edge juice w/a, superchips stacked, manual lock-up, 4.10 gears,35 inch buckshots, hx35 turbo....... My question is im looking for more power, we occasionally truck pull bout 5 times a year, do some racing every once in a while, which route has anyone found to work better, single or twins? I do have a 14 housing on my hx35 which did get me bout 200 degrees lower on egt from the hy35. Any suggestions anyone on more power rather it be turbo(s) or anything else?

you need to ask your self honestly how much power, look at driveablity if its your daily driver, how much money you really can afford. you would need studs for either a bigger single or twins. you need to get bigger sticks 150-200. make sure you have good fuel pressure. make sure you have gauges, ask your self what you are really wanting.

It is used as a daily driver, however, i do own a auto repair and body shop, so doing the work to the truck is not a issue, i do all my own work to it and am fully capable. I do know that before i add bigger sticks i need more air. So my question is from this point with what mods my truck has now, which have any of you found better, single or twins?

With twins you would not be allow to truck pull around here so that might cut out your fun there.

For everyday driving and any heaver type of towing i would say the twins.
That would also provide plenty of air for future growth of fuel and power.

if your going to add more fuel yes more air. also consider studding your head. getting a good free flowing exhaust. I personally dont use K&N. great for Gassers but would look at a AFE or S&B filter fit. just my 2 cents on the filter
your fuel issue does need addressed if you still have the oem lift pump. should change out to a reliable bigger unit. fass, airdog etc. if you do not have gauges you really should have a pyro, boost and fuel pressure gauge. if you want more fuel you need to supply more fuel. I like the SMARTY it can be used with other programers. I liked it for the the better mpg, adjustment of the bigger tires. the low end torque. but IMO if your going to be staying around the 325-400hp area. look at a 62/14. plenty of turbo

i think you would gain a lot from trading the edge and superchips for a tst comp and smarty stack. you have a lot of adjustibility to play with which might make a good single turbo a better option.

Use a S364, so you can still run 2.6 catergory. A S364 is the better all around turbo. If you tow lots (RV trailer stuff, work), run an auto, run the 71/14 turbine housing. If you run a stick try to get a smaller turbine disk and housing, helps to spool everything back up quickly. Of course that depends if you do city driving or hiway.

I like the garrett 3788R better all around turbo, but that me...

The best stack would be edge drag box, redline and smarty. You'll rev till 4000k and still fuel or just put in a P7100 pump.
